Aneurysm Center

An aneurysm occurs when a section of an artery wall bulges or balloons out when it has weakened. Aneurysm ruptures can cause internal bleeding and may lead to death. An aortic aneurysm occurs in the body's main artery (aorta) and an abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) occurs in the section of the aorta the runs through the abdomen. Cerebral aneurysms occur in arteries of the brain.
