Brain & Nerve Tests Center

Neurological examinations include tests of mental status, sensory ability and reflexes. Electroencephalograms, nerve conduction velocity studies and quantitative sensory testing measure how well nerves work. Other tools include imaging tests such as computed tomography scans or tissue samples, which are obtained via a spinal tap or nerve biopsy.
