Wendy's 12-ounce chili, side salad with fat-free dressing

1 whole wheat flour tortilla wrapped with 2 ounces lean ham, 1 ounce low-fat Swiss cheese, 1 cup shredded dark green lettuce, 1/2 cup shredded carrot and 2 teaspoons honey Dijon mustard; 1 tangerine; 1 cup skim milk

Cheap and Easy:

1 cup black bean soup; 6 baby carrots; 1 orange; 1 cup skim milk

Whole wheat tortilla filled with 1/4 cup vegetarian refried beans, 2 tablespoons salsa and 2 ounces leftover shredded chicken; 1 cup tossed salad; 1 tangerine; 1 cup skim milk

Whole wheat pita pocket stuffed with 1/2 cup water-packed tuna, thinly sliced cucumbers and radishes, and 1 tablespoon low-fat Italian dressing; 1 apple

Family-Friendly:

1 cup vegetarian chili made with kidney beans; 1 cup tossed salad with 1 teaspoon vinaigrette dressing; 1 kiwi

Chef's salad: 2 cups dark green lettuce and salad vegetables (tomato, green pepper, jicama, carrots, cucumber, etc.), 1 hard-boiled egg, 1 ounce low-fat ham, 1 ounce shredded low-fat cheese, 2 tablespoons chopped nuts -- with each bite, dip your fork in low-fat salad dressing, then into your salad to reduce the amount of dressing you need; 1/2 cup grapes

Jazzed-up chicken salad: mix 1/2 cup cooked chicken with 1/4 cup diced red apple, 1/4 cup diced celery, 2 teaspoons chopped pecans, 1 teaspoon raisins and 2 tablespoons low-fat mayonnaise -- serve on a bed of dark green lettuce with 6 whole wheat crackers on the side; 1/2 cup mandarin oranges
