Biography:
Dr. Moore is Professor of Surgery at UCLA Medical Center and is engaged in the active clinical and research practice of vascular surgery. He established the vascular surgery program at UCLA in 1980, and remained as Chief of the program until 1998. At that time he stepped down as director and turned the program over to one of his former fellows, Dr. Julie A. Freischlag. His major interests continue to be the management of patients with cerebrovascular disease; innovative approaches to the management of patients with abdominal aortic aneurysm, including endovascular repair; and the general field of endovascular surgery. Dr. Moore is a distinguished academic and leader in the field of vascular surgery; he has published hundreds of articles related to vascular disease and surgery and has authored numerous books including
Vascular Surgery: A Comprehensive Review.
